One of Jay’s first entrepreneurial endeavors was launching a neighborhood festival with his friends when he was twelve. That and many other both successful—and not so successful—businesses hooked him early on. After deciding against medical school, Jay worked in consulting for five years before heading to business school where on his first day he met two classmates he would co-found the online shipping marketplace uShip with.
After ten years growing uShip to transform the global shipping marketplace, Jay left to co-found Everfest, the world’s leading online festival authority. Jay is also co-founder of RoverPass, the Expedia of RV campground bookings, and serves on the ATX Seed Ventures’ LP Advisory Council.
As an entrepreneur, Jay loves early- to mid-stage challenges of building teams and businesses, especially consumer and marketplace focused.
Jay earned a B.A., Chemistry & Philosophy from UNC-Chapel Hill, Masters in Accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill, and an MBA from UT-Austin.
